Dear 2017; We've come to an end

Dear 2017, time has come to say goodbye to you.

We've had the most wonderful time with many new exiting adventures. We've also met difficulties along our way, but we always got through to the other side. You've helped me grow, you've inspired me and you taught me new lessons along our way. You came so quickly into my life and just as quickly as you arrived, the time has come for you, to leave again. I'm happy there's no hard feelings and no regrets, that could've made it so hard to part with you. You was all that I was hoping for and you brought more to my life, than what I could've wished for. I'm deeply grateful, for the lessons you taught me and the way, you gently took my hand and guided me down the path, you helped me create, on my own terms.

I'm soon taking my first steps towards something new - without you. I will never forget you and I will keep a place for you in my heart. I'm truly excited, to embrace all the new changes and challenges that will come my way, to get me to the places, I'm supposed to go.

With all that, 2017 I'm finally ready to say goodbye to you.

Despite everything 2017 have taught you, given to you and challenged you with, I hope 2018 will be the year, you decide to become your own hero. I hope this will be the year, you finally fall in love with your life and even more in yourself. I hope, this will be the year, you become your own place, to seek for forgiveness.

2017 was hard. It was a year of loss and of missing someone, who was long gone. But it was also a year of great joy and a year, you saw love heading towards you and stayed.

2017 was a year, you met many challenges, that seemed impossible – and challenges that may led you to times, you couldn't find the sun. 2017 may have been the year, you lost yourself again. It was days of wondering why. Days of wondering, if you were enough.

So let's make 2018 different. Let 2018 be the year of a fresh new beginning. Make 2018 the year, you finally stop feeling sorry for yourself. Let 2018 be the year, you begin taking babysteps of finding yourself – and let it be the year, you keep taking babysteps of finally finding your self-worth. Let 2018 be the year you strengethen your confidence. Let 2018 be the year you follow your heart.

Let 2018 be the year you finally learn how to let go. Letting go of the people who hurt you and letting go of the people, who have left you. Letting go of the anger of your past and letting go of your regrets. Letting go of the place in your heart, that contains everything that once broke you. Let it go. All of it and open up for a new beginning.

Make 2018 your year – of putting yourself in focus. Make this the year, you stop caring so much about other people – people who doesn't deserve your energy. Let this be the year, you stop searching for excuses, of not pursuing what's truly in your heart. Be your own fucking hero in 2018. Finally own up to yourself and finally, get soaked in your own beauty.

Let 2018 be the year, you start living for yourself – not for everyone else. Make every 365 days be different and new – don't live the same day twice. Let it be 365 days of new goals, new inspirations and new perspectives. Let it be 365 days of loving yourself, of trusting yourself, of respecting yourself – despite everything this year throws at you.

Knowing that this year won't be perfect – but also know, that this year can be whatever you want this year to be. As long as you try and go pursuing whatever it is that you want. Don't be afraid of putting on your shoes and walk into your life.

Let 2018 be the year, you don't look back. Don't look back on your past, of your mistakes, of the loss you've experienced. STEP FORWARD. Push forward. Climp those mountains with your head held high and climp those mountains with no second thougths. Fall and stand up again. Fail and try again. Don't give up this time. Keep beliveing.

And finally let 2018 be your year. The year you become your own person. Your savior. Your partner. Your best friend. Your own source of inspiration, love and loyalty. Let 2018 be the year, you finally learn, how to adore your own heart.

Let 2017 go and embrace, what 2018 has in store for you. 2018 will give you great joy, inspiration and love – if you allow yourself to be openminded and let your heart flow with beauty.
