You may wonder, how you possibly can make time in your busy schedule, to practice meditation. Because the first step towards practicing meditation, should be practiced 20 minutes, with your eyes closed and away from visual distractions, right? But it's also important to realize, that 20 minutes of quiet meditation can truly get you, to become more focused and calm in your daily life. It will be possible for you, to do more and be more focused in your 8 hour work schedule with meditation, than forcing yourself to do 8 hours of work straight.

I have 30 minutes lunch break and I won't be able to practice 20 minutes of meditation and also, have time to eat my lunch. Though I set aside 5-10 minutes in my lunch break to practice meditation and I can truly feel the benefits from it. I am more calm, focused and also happy.

You can choose an activity, to be mindful throughout your day for one, two or five minutes. You can drink a cup of tea, walk, wash the dishes, listen to a guided meditation video, shower with your eyes closed or even brush your teeth with the other hand. Whatever you choose to do – be in that moment, as it is, right now. See, hear, smell, touch, feel and breathe. Simply notice everything you are doing and when thoughts come to mind, change your focus back to your breathing and your chosen activity. Be patient and compassionate with it.

You may spend a lot of time inside of your head, thinking about what you've done or have yet to do. You might worry about things, you don't really need to worry about. You, just like everyone else, needs to get outside of our heads. As you go through your busy schedule, you will be completing tasks that require thinking, attention and actions. You will not realize it, but all these tasks will slowly create some kind of “garbage” in your mind. This garbage takes away your energy and your focus. The busier you are, the more garbage you create in your mind. This garbage also prevent you from completing other tasks, because it might feel overwhelming.

Mindfulness can help you removing the garbage from your mind. Your mind becomes fresh and your consciousness can function naturally. It's like your mind, was a very messy room, that was impossible to walk into or do anything in and then it becomes clean and organized again.

Once you learn the basic mindfulness methods, you can bring mindfulness into your daily life. The way to practice mindfulness, is to simply focus on all of your thoughts, sensations and actions without judgement. And you know; you don't actually have to meditate to do this. Because when you are able to practice mindfulness wherever you are, in whatever you do, you should be able to be mindful almost all the time.

With opening your heart, you will increase your consciousness and develop a new view of the world. That comes with clearing your mind, of all the garbage, that has built up over time. To make this easy, I've uploaded a few videos with a 5 minutes guided mindfulness guide, you can use easily, to open your heart and get all the benefits that comes with it.

While you are practicing, slowly observe all of your thoughts, actions and emotions without judgments. Just accept them, let them float away and bring your focus back on your breathing. Everything is temporary and will float away on its own. After a while you will notice, you become calmer and more focused in your daily life.

Enjoy your journey.
